One of the major education policy events of the past year was the establishment of a new educator evaluation framework for teachers and administrators in MA.

Our state pension plan is being criticized by the public as too costly. In actuality, it costs the government less than if we paid social security. We put approximately 85% of our own money into our retirement, and the state puts in 15% - so compared to 401ks that pay 50% or match funds, 15% isn't very much.
